By creating a solid and well-written lease agreement today, it provides an anchor into using our landfill as a location for the upcoming RFP.

If that's possible,

then county staff and the county attorney should negotiate with those possible end games in mind.

That means language that deals with flow control, feedstock, potential partnerships, phasing, and open books, because we don't want to repeat problems from the past.

This is our responsibility.

Solid waste is our responsibility.

And when we delegate it, we are still responsible.

So I say let's go forward with that in mind, make sure that everybody's on the same page.

I can support going forward with Filthy Organics on this.

Obviously, this is a bit of a wrinkle having a new player in this, and I'm not sure how that fits in.

But I do think if we are negotiating, all of those things have to be taken into consideration.
