Yeah, I remember reading uh

I don't know what I was uh in two thousand eleven or something, I read about Yandex.

There was some PR thing that came out from Russia, Yandex, just saying that, you know, their search engine, they're using machine learning neural networks.

They don't know there's a it's a black box.

The engineers there can't explain what's coming out.

And I I knew about neural networks because I sort of roughly studied this like a long time ago, and I thought it was fascinating, but the computing power just wasn't there.

So there's like a AI type of system but it was s value simplistic.

required a lot of compute.

Yandex was doing this a long time ago.

Uh and I thought it was interesting.

I shared it with my team but there was a silence.

No one seemed to care but

Now that compute or the computing capacity and power is there, we actually now are seeing so I do think and and you know Google Brain, I think Google it's 2016 where Google Brain Google announced they were no longer mobile first, they're now AI first, right?

So there's been machine learning or neural networks behind the scenes and LLM type stuff that's been going on.

It's only really a transformer that came out in the the T and Tran uh chat GPT, so that's just over the past two years or so.

I know that Bing for sure behind the scenes have been working on all this.

I have read that all these large companies, um, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, they all have thousands of engineers and many of the top ones with PhDs are um went to the same schools.
