Maybe he won't be trying the case a second time, but I'm real.
And the truth of the matter is he failed her in closing argument.
Even if he wins this thing, he did not give her what she needed.
And that's a focus on the one issue that matters, and that's the burden of proof.
And how if you go back to the jury room and you're thinking, well, maybe this, and you get into
into all the thoughts that they might have, it all leads back to you must follow your oath, which is holding the state to the burden on did they prove that she was sane at the time, on criminal responsibility, and they did not prove it beyond a reasonable doubt.
They must find her not guilty by, you know
That she's not convicted of murder um or any crime.
And so I would call that a win.
It's not what you want, but it's still the prosecution failed to get what they wanted.
And so, like Jonna said, maybe it puts them in a posture where they could maybe consider working it out.
But I I don't see it.
It's like asking the jurors to work out their deliberations right now.
They're in completely different camps.
You got prosecutors who think that she is
A murderer.
They mocked her suicide attempt.
They thought she had planned this.
I mean, they didn't, they didn't approach this the way I would have.
Again, if I'm prosecuting this case, I would have been more sympathetic that she does suffer from mental illness, but that legally you must find her guilty because there's evidence to show that she knew right from wrong and could have conformed her behavior to the law.
