Yeah, well, I mean, part of it's hard because obviously they haven't had, say, a Suzuki yet.
He's supposed to rejoin them on Friday and be done with his rehab assignment and come off the IL.
So, obviously, that really changes the dynamic in the top part of the lineup when you're adding another slugger like that.
And, yeah, there's a lot of reasons to like Nico in that leadoff spot.
I know, obviously, you know, council has been kind of determining that based on whether it's a righty or lefty starting for the other team.
He has liked Bush in the leadoff spot at times because he can work in town and obviously half in the past has at times been in the leadoff position.
And also, too, when you look at what they've been doing without Suzuki, there's been matchup situations where Conforto's been in the lineup or Matt Shaw or Moises Balceros.
So there's a lot of moving pieces, whereas last year it felt like
Um, you know, they pretty much had a pretty set everyday lineup, righty versus lefty.
Um, and so it'll be interesting to see once they, it comes back kind of what that lineup order, um, looks like more consistently, but yeah, there's obviously a lot of reasons to like Nico in that.
So it'll be interesting to see, um, if that evolves at all, um, especially against right-handers kind of how they end up, you know, like setting up the top of the order in particular.
Yeah, I mean, obviously, bullpens are just so volatile, which is kind of why Jed Hoyer has kind of taken the quantity approach to that equation because, I mean, you just look at last year, the opening day bullpen to what it was going into the postseason, I think there were only three guys that were there from start to end.
So, inherently, there's probably going to be some turnover over the course of the season.
I mean, specifically in Maton's case, I mean,
Council talked about it going into Monday's series opener that, I mean, he hadn't pitched, you know, since Tuesday.
And so basically it was like we need to get him out there more.
You know, that's just something that works better for him, pitching more frequently.
We saw him pitch in the back-to-back in the first two games.
