Here's the bottom line.

They played nine games now against two teams with the worst records in baseball.

They have a losing record in those nine games.

They're four and five.

It was a bad road trip.

You can't go three and three on a road trip like that.

So if you do drop a series to the Rockies, you have to sweep the Giants.

And they got saving grace.

They got three more with the Rockies.

Here's the reality of the situation, Mark.

There were some positives to be taken away from this road trip, and we'll get into that.

But if you're the Cubs, and you don't find a way to do better than 6-6 over this 12-game stretch, and they could win this series at home, and they would just be 6-6.

They need a sweep.

And if they don't do that...

I guarantee you, regardless of where they finish at the end of the season, they will look back at these 12 games as a data point of where you should have done more and now you're paying the price.

Yeah.

I mean, the good news for the Cubs is, yeah, they had one of the hardest schedules early on in the season.

So it will continue to be relatively light.

Again, light relative to earlier in the season.
