It was just that got the star driver and that was it.

There's no support from it.

there was cynicism about why we're paying all this money for this guy.

We didn't know what uh the the the dynamic, the personal dynamic was gonna be between this new boss, the new team principal and the new driver.

Um but there was reason for optimism technically because they'd understood the limitations of the twenty fourteen car, they'd understood why where they'd gone wrong in in the the uh the balance.

balance that they'd given to aerodynamic performance and um the the new hybrid engine um performance um that recalibrated that uh to have a a much more effective overall car and with the lessons learned.

So it was I don't think there was any doubt this could it was going to be a much, much better Ferrari than the twenty fourteen Ferrari.

And so it was in a in a in a way it was a nice clean start.

G obviously Mercedes is gonna be the reference, um, 'cause it ab absolutely dominated in twenty fourteen, the first year of the hybrid formula.

Um so yeah, y you look you're looking at that and thinking, yeah, there are prospects of returning to be to the front or being a top team uh

are definitely realistic and if you've got Vettel there if there's half a chance he's gonna he's gonna make it um you know he's gonna exploit it.

In general principle, yes, but g given the particulars of what was going on in the background at that time, no.
