And the final item under my manager's report is an update on the LaSalle Street facility.
I am extremely pleased with how this project has evolved after the last year.
The reason why I'm excited because the project reflects a high degree of collaboration collaboration with you the board.
collaboration with the community and the residents in that part of the county, and collaboration with both the nonprofit and corporate sectors.
One of the things I have constantly heard members of this board say is that we are pretty good at training and certifying our workforce development participants, but the opportunity for improvement is job placement.
Well, this initiative,
which will now be referred to as Urban Spark, addresses that opportunity.
Not just job placement, but high wage paying jobs.
The presentation will begin with the level set by Zach Lewis, senior assistant to the county manager.
walk you back over the course of the year, the key milestones associated with this project.
Then he'll tag in Dr. Virginia Koval, Assistant County Manager of Workforce Development and Upper Mobility.
She's gonna give you a refresher on the workforce development framework that she presented to you a few months ago.
And then she's gonna introduce our presenters for the evening.
