And that could cost lives and property.

It is not only sitting at the dinner table, it's having dessert, appetizers, and all the main courses.

We are in the midst, and so I very much frown on any narrative that discusses climate change in the future tense.

We used to talk about what's going to happen in 2050 or 2100.

It's here and it's loud and it's only going to get worse because we are not really doing the things that we need to do from a mitigation of

Carbon emissions standpoint.

Now we are seeing more adaptation approaches because we, in some places, have realized things are going to happen.

And so we need to adapt or be more resilient to them.

But that's a really strong message that we all need to hear and internalize.

We are living the climate change that the scientists and the papers and studies suggested that we would live 20, 30 years ago.

Yeah.

And here it is, and likely in some cases underestimated.

Because again, in those early days, the climate models were not as good as they are today.

But now we have these robust Earth system models that connect the ocean to the atmosphere to the biosphere and cryosphere.

And so we are getting quite a few things right if you go back and verify, even with those weaknesses in the model.

And so it's a steam train rolling down the track, and so far it's

We need to cut back significantly.
