In fact, the the tendency is very clearly in the opposite direction.

And now is already obviously that some of the same ideas, though different

leap framed, exists in Europe as in America.

Um but and in addition to that, right now they don't have these dynamic tech sectors, so they will be promising something for the future which doesn't exist.

But in the medium to long run,

It is certainly possible and indeed logical, that's where Europe will have to end up, and it will want, I think, to form in this very difficult new environment.

decent relations with China, because it's an important great power, very close to Russia, which is a very important uh potential enemy.

So Europe can't ignore China.

And I don't think Europe will be very happy about going on along with which is essentially essentially an economic war against China with uh on the side of the US, particularly if the US is attacking Europe ex European exports to it.

So in this situation, again, as I said

said before, uh the the medium to long term outcome of what is, I think, one of those really huge geopolitical turning points, these are hugely uh unpredictable.

But right now, Europe is going to try and hold on to manufacturing as much as it can because that's what it's trying to

The only point I would make is I don't think Trump's vision is of a more dominant America.

Uh he's he's an um he's an America first isolationist.

He his his whole view of the world is essentially one of Fortress America.

America alone, America dominant at home and free of the encumbrances of the world.

He's rejected what what many on his side would think of as the American Empire.

So he he's not

He's trying to do something that doesn't fit in with any framework we've had in the last um eighty odd uh eighty-five, ninety years.

It's he's trying to be a self-sufficient superpower, which is really what it was in the twenties, try to be in the twenties and thirties.
