And the answer is pretty obviously no.
And then the question is, how does it get dragged back into the world, in what form and under whom?
Now, one way might be a war with China.
I have no idea.
But this is a very confusing moment because Trump is a very confusing person.
He doesn't have a coherent, integrated, clear ideology.
He has instincts, and his instincts are for power and for isolationism and isolation, and of course, to go back to the world.
Well we all we're all a bit like that.
He is yeah, one way of thinking about him is he's a salesman.
He s what he's good at and not making things or making money, he's good at selling things, ideas, attitudes, whatever, but it's not a coherent thing.
The weekend edition.
The question comes is do we start do people start thinking this is the place we have to go because in this very unstable world it's the most powerful safe place in the world?
Or are they going to start feeling, well, maybe it isn't really that safe because it's become so wildly unpredictable?
