Well Ethan Simcoe has you know is back for for another season, his sa his first full season, second year I guess with the club.

And uh he shined last year in uh you know, his uh regular season efforts and uh and then in the playoffs he uh he played the last five games of the playoff series.

So uh he seems to be uh you know, a stud in between the pipes and you know, young star in Parker Snell who showed really well in his a few opportunities as a sixteen year old last year.

here um seems to look really good in camp as well.

So we'll see what happens here over the next few days.

But um those will be the two guys to watch for sure.

Yeah, I think uh it's it's just another step in the development of these players.

I think you looked at a last year a lot of this group hadn't seen the playoffs before and hadn't, you know, had that opportunity to uh see what it's like and what it takes to um win in this league and and win playoff series and close out a playoff series.

Well well now they have, right?

Most of that

uh essentially all of its back and you know I think there's there's that chip like I mentioned on that shoulder and um you you learn from those mistakes I think and that's maybe the biggest thing that you see and and we'll see what the the systems change uh with uh with Jason at the helm here and um we'll see how it works early in the year.

Uh I'm excited to see what is different uh year over year in terms of maybe systems and power play penalty kill but uh you know that's one of the exciting things

things when um the puck drops uh in mid September.

Well exactly right.

And you have uh Gavin Hodnett back another year as and captain and uh he's you know, a lot of guys that kind of have been there, done that and have seen this team through the the rough patches post twenty twenty two championship.

They're uh you know, a lot of them are still here.

So that's big as well when uh, you know, those guys uh have seen it all in this league and and are looking to take that next step.

Yeah, it's awesome.

We uh as the Oil Kings we love kind of taking the preseason games to, you know, communities in this area that uh, you know, don't get to see WHL hockey as often.

So Hinton, Alberta is the stop um for this for that weekend's trip and play Prince George twice.
