Even as a grade eleven or twelve kid, considering this is what I wanted to do for a living.

I uh did not expect that I'd be up uh in uh up top of Rogers Place calling uh Edmonton Oil Kings games, a team that I watched growing up and um going to teddy bear toss games every year and um yeah, I I I think it's kind of a I gotta pinch myself sometimes, but uh yeah, I just kind of gotta enjoy the ride once in a while.

Yeah, I think graduating high school I kind of figured out that's what I wanted to do.

I didn't realise it was play by play at the time, but uh I think I knew broadcasting for sure and then I kinda fell in love with it at at Mount Royal University in Calgary and um, you know, had a lot of fun and uh fell in love with it.

So it was kind of uh just kind of managed to find my way into that uh into that career.

Yeah, it's uh kind of the first ever sort of uh oil kings uh locker room sale.

There's gonna be some signed memorabilia, some signed game used equipment type stuff, whole bunch of stuff for you hockey nuts out there that uh you know uh love the oil kings and and love your hockey um memorabilia and all that kind of stuff.

So be a whole bunch of jerseys and all that good stuff there and and then you can watch the red white game the Bob McGill Cup uh start

Starting at noon.

So um, you know, it's gonna be a competitive game.

It's gonna be a lot of fun for sure.

Um, some really good hockey players out there.

So encourage anyone who uh wants to get a sneak peek at uh the Empton Oakings for this year on Sunday to uh come by.

Eleven AM the doors will open and you can kinda take a peek through the locker room sale and then um the uh red white game right afterwards.

So uh should be a fun day on Sunday.

Yeah, exactly, right.

You you put uh the trophy on the line and they get to lift something and kinda shove it into their into their buddies' faces, I think they'll uh the the the intensity ramps up a little bit.

Yeah, it's huge, right?
