I mean it's a tiny, tiny minority that is under represented, even given the the state of the minority in um

Um, I mean quite a few people and s even someone with friends are saying, but then there are other friends who say, No, he deserved exactly what he got because
Because his life story was so exceptional, you know, and it is the fact that he had, you know, come from a poor background and managed to catch up in terms of his education in an incredibly short amount of time, having been nonverbal for so long, not having been in been able to to read and write for such a long time, you know, it was an astonishing
uh transition and they think actually that is part of his
appeal as a teacher and that was part of his empathy as a teacher.
And that you know, and that you know, that's not just the story that elevated him into that position, but it's also what inspired him as a as a professor at Cambridge.
It had, but I think that was I think that was part of the story.
But but the controversy had started before uh there's an academic called Nathan Kofnas.
Um who was at the University of Cambridge at Emmanuel College, who is what calls himself a race realist.
Uh he was sacked from Emmanuel College for writing a rather offensive, very offensive post where he said Lifford
If it weren't for DEI, there'd be practically zero black professors at top American universities.
Um, he got sacked.
Interestingly enough, there was a an accusation of plagiarism into his work as well, which the Camb Cambridge University said was was not valid, uh, after an inquiry.
