I think it was a fair deal, I do.

I mean like I think that they g they paid a pr a pretty steep price.

I mean, Tite uh it doesn't turn nineteen until August and he's uh in high A already.

Um, you know, the bat is is special I think.

There are questions about whether he sticks behind the plate and that's why uh I do think there was some differing opinions on him uh across the industry from different teams, uh different evaluators and um

You know, to me McGable is is a is a major league starter, but uh he didn't really fit into the current rotation plans, not just for twenty twenty five, but for twenty twenty six and and that's

You know, credit to the Phillies for

building the rotation that they have that made once they McDable was expendable, but they could deal, you know, a young, uh, you know, possible back of the rotation piece, whereas most teams would be, you know, clutching tightly to a guy like that.

So uh Duran, um, he's their closer and they really haven't had, you know, like a closer with a capital C for um

you know, really since Rob Thompson has become manager of the Phillies, they've tried out different guys, but they know now that Duran's got the ninth and they can work back from there and I i i it's

It's a good fit.

It really is.

I I think part of it is because

You have Abel who has a really good pedigree.

He was a first round pick.

Um, he hasn't uh necessarily

had the path of a a traditional first round pick and you know, that's 'cause he was a high school pitcher and I think there's been ups and downs in his development and um, you know, had a really rough year last year, so that doled I think his prospect status and credit to him uh and the development staff of the Phillies for

um, you know, making him uh a legitimate prospect again and and not just a prospect but a guy who had some success in the major leagues so far this year, you know, in some spots starts with the Phillies.

So, um

I get it.
