He's a prospect that hasn't gotten a ton of attention, just I think that he's, you know
Some evaluators have wondered like how projectable is he?
Um
But to his credit, I mean he you know, after a really slow start to this season, the first two months at Low A in the Florida State League, um he's really started to hit the ball hard and he's hit for power.
Um he's demonstrated uh an advanced approach to the plate, played a better center field.
Um so they've rewarded him here with this, you know, little promotion final week to play in double A.
And then my guess is he'll go to Florida and keep uh playing in a little in you know, maybe a little camp at the complex and then he'll go to uh the Arizona volley uh sometime in October.
So
Um they've been impressed by his season and they want to keep they want him to keep playing, uh, which is a great sign for him.

Uh ready for uh the end of the deadline.
I mean to me it's it's quintessential Dave Dombrowski business, you know.
I mean I think uh this was his biggest swing that he's taken at the deadline with the Phillies, but uh Duran was a guy that they've liked for quite a few weeks now and you know they had signaled the teams uh at the beginning of July that they were going to be shopping uh in in in a more expensive aisle.
They really stuck to Reynolds
uh in previous deadlines.
Uh but they believed they had some decent prospects to uh go out and get a a player with control beyond twenty twenty five because they were just tired of
