Well, officially, this sounds really big-headed of me to say, but officially, I'm an executive producer, but I'm still not sure what that means.
I think it just means I'm CC'd on a lot of emails.
The title is awesome.
I'm using the title all the time.
But yeah, I think it just means that...
trying to keep me outside and flatter me.
But, you know, I obviously want this film to be good.
You don't want it to be too good, because then people will say, oh, it's so much better than the book.
To be honest, I feel like the most important thing, and I was very lucky that I could choose who to go with with this.
I think it's about people.
You just have to choose the people you trust.
like i was offered to write the script and i said no because i've had some experience with screenplays i don't think i'm great at writing screenplays and it's not necessarily the screenplay itself it's the amount of like compromises and sort of discussions you have to have with lots of different people it's very different to writing a novel
So I'm well aware of my own limitations and I'm well aware that there's so many talented people in film.
And I think you part the ego at the door and you just hand it over to the people who know what they're doing.
Well, the thing I think is possibly most cinematic from the book is the stuff in the Arctic with the polar bear and near-death experience and that whole landscape.
And already they've had someone from the National Geographic who's a photographer who's been to that part of the world
