And actually, I mean, I probably, if I wasn't a writer, I would have probably ended up somehow a teacher because my mum was a teacher, my sister was a teacher, my aunt was a teacher.

I'm from a kind of family of teaching professions.

My dad was an architect, but I wouldn't have been great at that, because my design skills are not good.

So teacher by default would have been where I'm at.

But I became a writer.

Kind of by accident.

I kind of, you know, I don't want to turn this into a therapy session, but I had like a breakdown at the age of 24.

And one of the sort of main symptoms I had was agoraphobia.

So I was literally, it was difficult to leave the house.

So I didn't have many options.

This was

kind of pre-social media we're talking about.

So you didn't have the working from home options that you have now.

I couldn't design websites.

So basically, it sounds ridiculous, but writing a novel felt like the most sensible thing for me to do at that point.

So yeah, it was a process of elimination.

Sure.

Yeah.
