Like I I'm good at math, but I am by no means a finance wizard.

Um, and so we bring in the grown-ups to handle those problems as you get big enough to have someone dedicated.

Full time in those spaces.

So I love this problem space and I've been working in it for well over a decade now.

So I wouldn't say it's really the problem that pulled me in.

You could work on this problem at Google or Microsoft companies that, you know, I spent a lot of time at.

But I think what finally prompted me to start a company around it was, you know, if you're in one of those big companies, what could you as an IC or an even a manager, even someone running an entire team?

do to like meaningfully improve, say, Google stock price, right?

Like almost nothing, right?

Maybe a scandal, make it go down.

But like there there's almost nothing you could do because you're sort of one cog in the giant machine.

And so I, you know, I wanted a chance to sort of bet on myself, bet on my co-founders, and bet on sort of the network of folks that we'd spent

10 years or so collaborating on various things in this space on.

And I I think that was it.

I think it's really sort of an intersection of a few different things.

So I mentioned that me and my co-founders, as well as some of the uh early engineering team, collaborated on a lot of projects over the years.

You know, some of that was just building products at Google where we had to familiarize ourselves with Google security practices.

But also some of the things that Dan and I collaborated on over the years was there were efforts periodically called G on.

or Google on Google, where they'd try and look at moving more Google workloads to Google Cloud.

And a big part of that was how can you replicate some of the internal security practices onto these sort of external systems, you know, basically external products like GKE, GCE, et cetera.
