That's how the Celtics, way past their prime in 2012...
We're still given the heat trouble because they were just able to grind the game to an absolute halt.
Nobody seems able to do that anymore.
Even the teams that play slow get caught by these other squads running.
It's one of the reasons why so many coaches go small versus OKC is they feel like their bigs can't keep up, even though the one thing OKC doesn't want you to do is play big against them.
And so I think the way the game is, nobody's been able to play with enough game plan discipline to really take the air out of the ball and slow it down.
And I think that that's something that whoever is next to kind of figure that out, you will notice that Boston with Joe Missoula plays at one of the absolute slowest paces.
They are glacial in how they play.
And so there's two ways to look at that.
The first way to look at that is see the nuggets are in an unprecedented spot and therefore they can still do this.
And history does not matter.
And I don't necessarily blame that.
And we can kind of have that discussion when we get to like the precedence conversation.
Um,
other way to kind of look at it is the reason that that probably you don't have these examples is because it's too hard is because if you have these kind of injuries like i have said this a lot when nicola went down i was one of the few ones that was like i think they will stay above water and people were like you're insane i didn't expect them to go ten and six i expected them to go four and nine but there were people that were like they're not gonna win a game and i was like no like this is a probability
And they will win enough games and they just they play great and found a way to win those 16 games or 10 of those 16 games.
But the problem that I said, and I said it at the time is this is going to take something from Jamal that will it is not.
You can't fill back up on it.
Once you play him these minutes, the only way to get those minutes off is rest, an extended rest, like an off-season rest.
It takes something away from you, and I think he was electric last night with 53 points.
