So they don't win the championship.
The other one that actually I think is the best comp for this team is the 2011 Mavericks.
They lose Karan Butler for the season in the second month of the year.
And in November, like I was like, oh my God, this team is great.
They can legit win the championship.
But then Karan goes down and then Dirk gets hurt for about a month and a half.
And they got completely off of the radar.
Now they won more games than Denver will win this season.
They had a better net rating than Denver will have this season.
They checked a lot more boxes than Denver will this season.
But that's a team that everyone kind of lost track of because they suffered these injuries and slid down the standings.
And then they got back to being who they were.
They got Dirk back.
They adjusted to the Kron injury, made the finals, won the finals.
And that's a good kind of comp, I think, historically to look at it.
But trying to find teams that have had this many overlapping injuries and made it is rare, either because there's never been a number of injuries like this ever, or more likely it's because it takes something from you and it's hard to maintain.
No.
And the reason I think I don't think that is you lose conditioning.
Um, so with the injuries that they had, uh, Aaron is a great example of this where Aaron's in phenomenal shape.
Like he's just like, and this is one of the things that drives me crazy is it's like, he keeps getting injured despite the fact that he's done everything possible to keep his body in order.
