My first job at the time I won the news, I was a clerk, I was a beat reporter, I was the editor, I was the quasi-page designer, and I had no idea how to do it.
We were talking about Jonah Bronstein, giving my first job ever, doing all that.
it really taught me how to grind.
Like I was working like 70, 80 hour weeks.
And I'll tell you right now, very few things that I've done in the Bills media space have garnered the kind of attention, maybe not, but like the attention to detail attention that some of the stuff I did at the hyper-local level like that.
Like you screw up a story on Johnny Brown, the quarterback at North Tonawanda, oh boy, Saturday morning is not gonna be fun when you come in to listen to that story.
That is a great example, probably one of the preeminent examples of unbelievable initiative.
She did that all herself, right?
She grinded for all that.
She reached out to the university's athletic department and started getting reps while she was in school.
She did all the internships.
She chased it all down.
Those are qualities that people that are hiring for these jobs are looking for.
So when they call us to ask about that person and you tell how they got to where they got, I mean, dude, she's super talented, but she also has a work ethic that you just can't teach.
Oh, we're getting there.
We haven't even got the bills yet.
So it's funny, because full transparency, I'm friends with Mitch, so I... I mean, I don't know how... That's the Madonna firing.
That was compelling.
It was really good.
