So I don't see any reason that it would benefit Kevin O'Connell to come out now and say, sorry, JJ, you are QB two.
I don't care about you at all.
And Kyler, you're our guy.
Why would you do that?
If Kyler hits his hand on somebody's helmet late in training camp or in, you know, the joint practice or something and he's out for four weeks, who's gonna be the starting quarterback?
I mean, I guess it could be Carson Wentz, but you'd prefer.
That JJ McCarthy had been working his tail off all summer long to try to fight it out with Kyler Murray in a quarterback competition.
At least from the coach's perspective, I can see why you would want to do that.
At the same time, like Kyler Murray's comments, though, I think people tried, I think there's a lot of people who are just really desperately trying to make this dramatic when it's like, folks, there's time.
We'll make this dramatic.
It's just not today.

But with Kyler, he was answering a direct question that was, what is the hardest part?
And he said it's not getting all the reps.
Now, of course, people made that into whatever they wanted to make it, if they wanted to, you know, go after him or make it look like he was selfish or something.
That wasn't how it went down.
But, you know, it is true that if Kyler Murray was brought here to be your starting quarterback, which I assume that he was, then you really can't do this for very long because it's not the easiest.
Offense in the world to learn.
Kirk Cousins at the end of 2022 training camp and into the beginning of the season was even commenting about not being able to fully get it down.
And if you recall, they really slow played it with Sam Darnold a lot early in the season.
