And these things can be really quite basic.

Over the years, we've rented like

And quite a small one where you have to fold out the bed every night and it would just be two of us in the van.

And most recently, we actually made a video over on our YouTube about a road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way.

And we rented quite a sizable van that was super comfortable and you're able to park up at some amazing beaches along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Yeah, I was chatting to my girlfriend before as we were driving home this morning.

And I suppose it does mean a variety of different things to a variety of different people.

The way that I sort of think about wild camping is it seems in recent times that it's almost been seen as an activity.

And in my mind, wild camping should not be seen as the activity.

You don't go out to go wild camping.

It's something that

when you're exploring the outdoors.

So say you're hiking the Wicklow Way or you're doing one of the amazing National Waymark Trails that we have in Ireland.

Like you might camp out of necessity along the route sort of thing.

But whenever you actually look into it, there's a lot of...

sort of rules and it's a bit of a grey area as to whether it's allowed, whether you're allowed camp.

So it's definitely not something that I would recommend for recreational purposes, but sometimes it's something that you do if you're, as I say, out doing a multi-day trek.

But in terms of whether you're allowed camp,

There are places where wild camping is tolerated, but that doesn't mean that it's necessarily allowed, which is sort of the strange grey area that we have around this.

So asking the landowner's permission is of vital importance.
