You know, dementia and Alzheimer's are a big one right now too.
because your primary practice physician will look at you and say, oh, that's in your skin all.
No, that's not it.
And so again, if our job as medical professionals, and I feel pretty strongly, we are a part of the multidisciplinary team.
It doesn't matter what patient we're treating.
I see so much value in our physical therapist.
Partners are occupational therapist partners.
I love a social worker.
I love a social worker for our adult and aging populations when it comes to finding things like additional respite care, coordinating with, you know, any kind of additional in-home care agency.
I think we're hugely underutilizing that as private practice owners, if I'm honest.
How can we?
I mean, they've been some of my best referral sources in general, if I'm honest.
My social worker contact has been hugely helpful in terms of getting patients to us for functional and meaningful therapy.
And then we get the doctor.
We send our plan of care over and we're like, hey, we're doing this.
And
Well, and they're hugely helpful when it comes to resources.
Oftentimes, and I work with one that happens to be in their own practice as well.
But if you're in a skilled nursing facility, if they're in a hospital, they're the ones doing the discharge breathing.
So if they have your information, if they know that you were a resource and that you might not be appropriate for them upon discharge from a hospital, we might need some care in between on that continuum spectrum, but they can give your information out.
