Then you're revising for your agent.

Then you're revising for your editor.

So you have to, it has to fascinate.

It has to be so rich that it fascinates you.

Not, not that you fascinate yourself, but that you created something.

You know, you sort of, the world you created is feels rich enough that you can dance in it for, you know, up to two years for me.

Now, I have friends who write much faster, but I am a fiddler with sentences.

And, you know, I can get lost in the research and have digressions.

But also, I have friends who take them, you know, three, four, five years to write a novel.

And I could not live with anything that long.

So I guess that's in between.

Everyone has their own time.
