Would you ever teach it again?

I know people are going to kill me if I don't ask this question.

Like, would you ever teach it again?

Please say yes.

I mean, yes, I definitely would.

I mean, you know, I taught in an MFA program.

I was a John Grisham writer-in-residence for one year.

And it was... I don't know if I would teach in an MFA program again because, well, it's changing now.

But then, and for the long time, there was not a lot of attention to the genre.

I mean, I think all fiction is genre fiction.

I think it's changing too, but I see what you're saying.

Yeah, and so it felt a little...

I would want to teach, I would definitely teach crime fiction again, let's put it that way.

And I would teach writing again.

I love working with people that are developing manuscripts and I find that fascinating and helpful to me.

I feel like I gain from every time I read someone else's work.

So I would consider it.

In the right circumstances, I would definitely do it.

And I would love to do one where you read book together and then write.

And then, you know, something that would balance the two, because I think that's sort of a lost art right now is how that book books can actually inspire reading books adjacent to the thing you're working on can actually inspire you.
