I was helping her do the casting of the voices for Babe, Pig in the City, because she did all of that.

So we would lay on her bed after a full day of filming Home and Away and listen to pig sounds and duck sounds and

choose the ones that we liked.

My education of cinema and the business was through Liz Melina.

I lived there for several years.

If I was sick, which I often was because, you know, being so young, working such hard hours, she would take the day off work.

She would nurse me back to health.

I learned so much about life and all of that through Liz.

And so being on Home and Away at 16, my gosh, you know, was one of the best experiences.

Well, first of all, a great role to play, you know, a street kid that already had two kids that was off the bay coming into Summer Bay.

And she had the braids, which was a brilliant idea because it ended up being so iconic.

And all of a sudden I was learning how to act on time, on action, call cut, being like a master at pulling a performance out because you only have five minutes.

It was the best training ever, really.

Yeah, it did.

It went really well.

And I think, Liz, also, when I got my first pilot in Hollywood and

called Holly Weird.

I put myself on tape, but Liz trained me to record that.

And then I flew to LA with a handbag and then I got the part and then I couldn't leave LA.

That was it.
