You know, I just, and it was too much for me with, you know, I had a new baby and I was like, okay, I've just got to focus on the role.

But the funny thing is getting back to the slap, because obviously it was very Australian.

And then when they remade it in America, I played the same role twice.

in the American adaption because they couldn't find Rosie anywhere in the States to play her.

And I was like, okay, well, why don't you get Melissa?

And I had to play a Brooklyn New Yorker in the same part that I played in Australia.

This was an incredible challenge, but also a much easier accent, I think, than the Kiwi accent.

Well, selfishly, what I did take out of it was some moments because they changed the order in the American adaption of the slap.

So some moments I loved it because I was the only original figure of the entire series that was shooting with Uma Thurman and all the cast in America.

And when it came to the slap day, they're all freaking out on how to do it.

And I just sat back with such a,

You know, because I know what's coming.

I know this role.

I know what's coming for the whole show.

But I loved it because I got to redo moments that I didn't have time to do in the Australian one.

So I got a second chance at it and I got to push it a little further in a direction that I didn't get to do with the original.

I mean, I'm a bigger fan of the original than the American one that we did, but I feel that there were some great moments that I prefer –

Particularly the order of the slap coming, you know, the court case being at the end of the show, not so much the middle of it.

I think for now my favourite would be what we've just shot on Miss X. But when I was doing 30 Days a Night, getting back to that, I was casting for In Treatment, which was the show between two actors in one room.
