I was a kid.

Yeah.

And now I've got two kids that I'm about to be responsible for.

A wife who was struggling to make ends meet.

And...

You know, I'm trying to figure out, do I really want to do this?

And so when I got transferred to New York, my dad gave me some advice.

He goes, listen, do you love this woman?

And I said, with all my heart, do you love those kids?

I said, yes, they become mine.

He goes, then you better put a ring on her finger before you go to New York.

So I asked her to marry me and she accepted.

Probably regrets it to this day, but whatever.

And we moved to New York.

We end up...

Again, nothing was ever easy for us.

I get transferred to New York three months before our wedding in Houston.

So me and my oldest son move and we live over in Montclair, New Jersey for three months so I can start my new job.

Meanwhile, my wife and our youngest son are back in Houston trying to get a wedding planned in which we fly back down for for two days.

They fly back with my parents to New York.
