And for the next 29 months and seven days, nonstop, I mean, if you see my prison Bible, there's more of my notes than there is scripture in there. I mean, I put notes on everything. And then I had my wife send me in books on every faith, and I just started studying. And I had a Sony Walkman. I would listen to Pastor Greg Laurie. I don't know if you ever heard of Greg. No.

He's a huge pastor out here. He's got Harvest Crusades. He runs every year. He's actually been at the White House several times. And I started to listen to him, and he was helping me interpret Scripture when I had an issue with it. He didn't know it, but he was doing it. It just happened to work out. And I just came out of there.

I don't want to say a different person, but I came out feeling different. You know, I really believed in God at that point. And I believed in Christ. And it's carried me through the last 30 years. Interesting.

No, I can't say that about myself. I'm actually, I normally do it the other way. Well, it depends who I'm dealing with. A lot of times you start out at a thousand percent with me. As a matter of fact, I think I'm less, I'm less eerie about people than my wife is. My wife is more, her radar is up and she usually has a better perspective than me, believe it or not.

But when I was on the street, it was different because there you have to watch everybody.

It's a tough life to navigate, especially if you were somebody in my position where you had law enforcement and the street to worry about. So I was always pretty keen back then. But it's changed now. But, you know, I have to ask you something. Yeah. Because I had this conversation with Jordan Peterson and we were talking about lying. Yeah.

And I said, my father always said something to me, and it really hit home. And that's what I've practiced throughout my life. My dad says, I'll never lie to hurt anybody. Understand that, son. But I'll lie to help somebody. When I said that to Jordan, he said, well, you're a liar then, if you believe that. And I said, well, why?

I said, if I want to help somebody, I don't want to put them in trouble. why would you consider that wrong? I just want to know what your feeling is on that.

Well, yeah. I mean, business-wise, absolutely. And if I don't know somebody, I'm careful that way. But I like to give somebody a shot first and see. Like I tell my son-in-law's future, you start out at 1,000%. You can only go down from there. Or you can stay the same. That's it. Maybe get better.

It was a great conversation. I'm sure of it. It was very deep. Jordan went very deep into the psychology. He was very interested in my time in solitary.
