It's, it's, it's difficult to get ice that say you'd find in places like in Finland where, you know, I've participated at events in the past and places like Canada or Italy, but you know, like places like Finland, they just sort of dig it out of the lake.
So for, for me here, basically just sort of put it in the fridge, put some water in the fridge and then, you know, see what you could do with it.

It's not the same.
It's a bit difficult to do it here, but also because of the weather outside, it's quite hot.
It's usually 20 plus, I would say, between maybe 20, 25.
Still, the ice just melts really quickly.
I remember once when I did an exhibition and sort of the theme is make to evaporate, just sort of make them quickly and then these pieces evaporate in the grass.
And that's part of that craft as well.
You make it and you lose it.
Do you use a chainsaw?
Actually, yes.
So when you're using ice, you use chainsaw.
And an interesting tool that you use, not many people would be familiar with or know that, is an iron, like an iron box that you use to iron your clothes.
So you use that to melt the water onto one piece of ice when you want to fuse it with another piece of ice.
So we have also other tools that
I think remain nameless.
I don't think some of those tools really have names that ice carvers have come up with that assist in ice carving.
Something that looks like a rake, something also that looks like a curved knife, so like a dagger that you would use, just depending on what you want to do.
It's difficult to carve because in ice carving, part of what you do is carving pieces.
