Do they take good at-bats?
I think that's where you can learn the most because that's very difficult, even in spring training, to walk off the bench after a huge practice in the morning and then all of a sudden they call your number and you're going in and you're facing either a young guy throwing 100 or an older veteran guy that's been established that's a bullpen arm.
So it's fun to watch those guys and see what they're capable of.
And then also the defense, I think, is a huge thing to watch.
I think immediately.
I don't think he'll start day one, but I think he'll be in the rotation.
He's different.
I mean, I don't care how old he is.
I mean, you see social media, and I've watched this kid play since he was 17.
He's got special abilities, and he's going to do things that a lot of guys can't, except O'Neal Cruz.
But he's maybe even better than...
than o'neill cruz ever was in the big leagues when it moves when it talks about how consistent he is but you talk about a guy that can get laterally the same way doesn't have quite the same arm but pretty close and he's probably a tick faster too so you have all those elements and we ood and odd at that that's what this guy's capable of but he's so consistently sound fundamentally it's going to be hard not to notice him and they're going to have to play him because i think he's a real option to make this team
I think when he showed up and spent a week with just the guys, he's already proven that he's ready.
Now the question is, do you want to push him that hard?
Because he's never failed.
The most, from my understanding, you know, talking to him and understanding his past, the most he's ever failed was with USA Baseball.
He played center field, didn't make team as a shortstop, didn't hit the way he wanted to in any of the trials or the development side, the two games.
things they do to pick the team.
So that's one thing you ask.
And you can use Big Amish out in Oakland and how they did him.
