economic and regulatory volatility.

And th this is gonna be driven in part, I think, Rob, by the

prospect of big change in federal policies and programs, including where the tariffs go, government efficiency, immigration.

But I think also w it's gonna reflect broader concerns with economic growth

Inflation, certainly international conflict.

And

A special one to me is social uh social fragmentation.

And then, of course, you've got the dramatic and culture changing Supreme Court decisions.

I'm absolutely not trying to get political here, but I'm saying it the volatility of the environment just cannot be separated from the responsibilities of corporate governance.

And to deal with these challenges, I think is going to require directors to be patient and to act and to be resilient in every sense, together with a lot high uh heightened level of attentiveness and closer interaction with management.

It's really, I think, the perfect opportunity for the board to work more closely with management as a strategic advisor.

with the board giving its perspective on how these global developments and and national developments have a strategic impact on the healthcare system.

And that's what Board Service is all about.

Well, uh certainly nothing political, uh but rather an offshoot of the consumerism theme, which I think we've talked about in a prior uh podcast a couple of years ago.

Uh that that there's a real value in the board recognizing um how, if at all, uh do these societal shifts and splits and you know maybe the absence of pluralism impact the way healthcare consumers uh uh view hospitals.

health systems and other providers.

That's the key.
