How does that fragmentation affect their perspective of what we do?

I think it's a part of a know your customer thing that boards sometimes lose track of.

From a governance perspective, this ties back to something I think we talked about maybe last year.

Uh and it's the it's those separate concepts of trust and and reputation that are

critical and tangible assets and and deserve more attention than perhaps they do uh from the board and leadership.

As we've talked about uh in these prior podcasts, Robin, I know you'll remember, trust is

something that's typically generated by internal and external perceptions of

Organizational ethics, integrity, corporate responsibility, stuff like that.

Reputation, on the other hand, is generated by perceptions of the quality of the company's goods and services, in our case by the quality of healthcare.

by the success of its corporate strategies and initiatives and

And I think also its overall public image.

So organizational trust can have a huge impact on organizational reputation, but I don't think it works the other way around.

And and what's interesting is in the first half of this year.

We've seen trust and reputation impacted by several new and to be honest with you, pretty depressing surveys.

The study's social fragmentation

and how that may impact the views of certain population groups uh who are consumers of healthcare delivery.

I think the two that I would encourage our readers or listeners to pay attention to are Edelman's Trust Barometers special report on trust and health.

I think we did a podcast earlier this year, maybe in January or February, we talked a little bit about what Edelman said generally about

isolation and and growing fragmentation in society.

They've done an updated report on trust and health care.
