So you might want to just simply pray like, God, I forgive them again for this part that they played.
I forgive them for what they said.
I forgive myself.
For the years I spent believing it, I forgive them for the opportunities I may have missed because I was afraid, right?
I forgive myself for being afraid, right?
It's a never ending thing.
So I can forgive them for never apologizing to me, for being able to move on forward without me before I was able to move on.
Like I want you to be specific in that prayer to the Lord.
Right.
When you're laying it at his feet, because sometimes we forgave the event, but we haven't forgiven all the consequences and the layers that come with it.
So then I want you to add one more question.
Like, God, show me the gold.
Like, don't not convince me this terrible thing was actually wonderful.
Right.
We're not we're not trying to say that this was a wonderful event or a good event.
But we're asking, what have you built in me that wasn't there before?
So maybe the criticism taught you what you believe instead of constantly looking for approval.
Or the rejection taught you that you can survive when you're not being chosen.
Or betrayal taught you discernment or being silenced as part of why you finally found your voice, right?
