Now I'm not being political when I say that or judgmental about people.
I know even for myself –
I've got my own conscious biases that I can be mindful of or even just my own unconscious bias.
As I said, you can program that out to some extent.
Like I said to my AI, when you critique my performance, do not be kind.
I know for someone like me where I like to be liked, I sometimes don't get to the point as much as I could or should because if I say what really needs to be said, you may not like me.
So a machine is not going to have those same emotions, although it will have some inherent bias.
I think the issue with the government step is it's a bit horse before cart.
Like they say, we're going to get rid of so many people without actually saying, well, actually all of those people have some knowledge and wisdom.
The whole idea of an AI is to replicate or substitute human wisdom and experience and skills and knowledge.
You've got to – you should be –
taking all of that and putting that somewhere so then the machine can do it for you rather than say – and I don't think this is what the government means, but it's certainly the way it's been interpreted is we're going to get rid of a whole lot of people and then build AI.
We should be developing, growing AI, teaching it, learning from it, and then as a result of doing that really well, we will need less people.
And that's another issue to be managed.
But I think that's the way I'd be talking about it is –
AI can really help and there will be consequences to it but let's actually make sure the people whose skills and experiences are valuable that we capture that somehow.
Our model in charity, in the BBM model we use, which I think is the model that should be used when we're looking at community issues, social issues.
I always think it's community, business, and government working together for the common good.
