So let's just go ahead and work it out now.

The question is, how do we navigate this world with 18 regular season games?
And it's disingenuous to say, well, there's 20 total games.
It used to be 14 and six.
Then it went to 16 and four.
Now it's 17 and three.
We're just going to 18 and two because the starters, the contributors, the regular players aren't playing in those preseason games.
You're talking about a greater overall workload.
wear and tear on the players, so the players need to make more money.
And at the end of the day, the question is, will the players ever miss a game check to stand on principle of not going to 18 games?
And the answer is no.
And you mentioned two buys.
One reality there, if they want to land the plane on President's Day weekend every year, they're going to have to start the season again Labor Day weekend.
If you throw in that second buy, most years you're going to overshoot
President's Day weekend if you don't start on Labor Day weekend.
They abandoned that in 2001, and I think they're going to have to go back to that if they want to have an expanded season, two buys, and make it all fit in this calendar that they're trying to have this full three-day weekend with Sunday night being the Super Bowl and people not having to worry about going to work on Monday.
Sometimes the fireworks work, and sometimes they don't.
