McCarthy ends up with a team that just so happens to have a six-round pick at quarterback that McCarthy independently loves.

I've reported multiple times that the fact that there isn't a date set in stone for the Super Bowl to be played in Atlanta in February of 2028, and usually by now we know exactly when a Super Bowl two years away is going to be because you've got a convention center lined up, you've got all the hotels ready to go.
They've specifically waited due to the possibility of getting an 18th game as soon as 2027 that would affect the date of that Super Bowl.
I think the league is going to move quickly.
I would suspect they're going to approach Tretter with a very specific and detailed offer, and the message is going to be, if you don't take it now, it's only going to get worse.
If we have to eventually lock you out and get you to cry uncle to give us 18 games, it's going to be worse.
