Like I'm not, I work for a lot of establishment candidates.
I work for a lot of progressive candidates.
Like I work for people who seem like they give a damn and that they've got some ideas and they're going to try and they're not.
in this because they're trying to get into the next cocktail party or they want to like grow their email list so that they can start a sub stack, which you see a lot of politicians do.
There's one in particular right now that I think is doing it pretty effectively.
growing their sub stack?
Well, they're growing their email list so that they can eventually launch a sub stack like that.
There are a lot of people who, and I've had a lot of phone conversations with, I get caught, I'm not going to out the candidate.
I don't want to get yelled at, but like there are, I get calls from candidates sometimes and they'll be like, Hey, I'm going to run for Congress and I don't think I'm going to win, but I'm going to do it.
And then my email list will be bigger and I can, you know, make more money from paid subscribers and stuff like that, which I fucking hate that.
Like, and I'll give you a story.
I actually, I have a show with Joe Walsh on Fridays and we actually talked about this a couple of weeks ago, but
you know, Joe Walsh was thinking about running for something.
And I told him I thought he should do it.
And when I was giving him the advice, I was like, I think you could win this.
And I think even if you lost, like you would be a bigger content creator because of it.
And that's good for you.
I gave him that advice.
And his exact response to me was, I don't want to run just to grow my email list.
