I don't want to run and waste everybody's time if I don't think I could win.
And he ultimately decided not to run.
And like, I realized I was giving shitty advice to people in that.
I was sort of proud of him.
It was when I knew that he was a good dude.
But back to the original point for a second is people are not ideological.
We're in all these dumb camps where it's like, oh, you're a Bernie person.
You're a DSA.
You're a moderate establishment.
None of that matters.
Do you have a good idea?
Are you going to try to get it done?
Are you going to try to help people?
That's what matters.
And so I look for doers because there's a lot of people on the left who just talk and don't really have any new ideas.
Bernie is a good talker, but Bernie has some ideas and AOC has some ideas and some of them are really good.
And I think like, you know, Mallory McMorrow is probably a little bit more center left than others, but like she's got some really good ideas and Tallarico has some good ideas.
So we're going to have to have some version of a big tent because in order to get 51 Democratic senators, we're going to have to win in a state like Texas or we're going to need a Joe Manchin or we're going to need a, you know, something like that.
We're gonna have to win an Iowa Senate seat with a guy like Nathan Sage or one of the others.
