I think that's been a big blow.
But you don't have Tatis crushing.
You don't have Machado crushing.
Jackson Merrill hasn't been that good.
They had some injuries with Jake Cronenworth.
I mean, that's half the lineup right there.
You need the big guys to start mashing.
And if that doesn't also sound like a Blue Jays thing, I'm not sure what does.
It is meaningful to me in the sense of when a guy goes from being very poor to very good or vice versa, you'd like to have a reason behind it, right?
So if you can point to something as obvious as, well, he was standing that way before and now he's standing this way, well, great, that's some signal.
There's a little bit of a concern of his correlation, causation, and all that because you look at Durbin and it's like, is he better because he changed his stance or is he better because it took him a while to be comfortable after being traded to a new team and it was really cold and now the weather is warming up?
Right.
It's probably a little bit of both.
Does the stance change help him see the ball better?
Does it just make him feel like he's a different guy?
Is it a placebo effect?
Like there's all these things where it's not really totally sure.
But, you know, whenever you can point to the fact that success is up and here is a thing he did, it's hard to ignore that those things are probably connected in some way.
Yes, like you, Blake, for the two remaining unknown names, I'm hoping Ernie Clement gets selected because I think that would be a lot of fun.
