They want you to send in, you know, we asked you for your financials.

Your personal financials.

It's just like a business has financials.

You just haven't recorded them every year.

So we've got to collate and do that for you.

okay i don't have anything on that but i've still got exposure to that yeah does the bank want something you want to know for sure yeah banks are all about um in that regard it's all like percentage plays like if you have a 10 000 credit card and you don't use it that much but you do have a limit there there is still a risk there to the bank that i rack up a holiday

Yeah, you go and spend 10 grand, right?

Because you have access to the credit.

So they'll take a percentage of that, 3% of the total credit card limit and put that as an expense in the expenses column while they're doing their assessment.

That's what it is, yeah.

Yeah, like a loan application is just a summary.

And, you know, there is, in terms of a mortgage, there is one other part that's really an important part of our job.

Put aside the advice we provide you about what you're doing, but when it comes back to us, we have a thing called a diary note.

And that's us giving the bank a bit of a summary about these clients and why they should give us an approval for them or not.

And that is actually quite an important part.

Like the character test almost.

As an example, I had a relatively young guy come to me who was a mechanic and he had bought the business off his boss.

And, you know, there's this big sort of, I guess it's a myth, about self-employed people, you need two years of business financials.
