And by the way, we are not saying, or maybe I am not saying that when Joker comes back, we should let Payton continue to freelance and ISO and stuff like that.
Because even though it looks impressive, even though his numbers are good and efficiency is pretty good, the Nuggets offense is not that good in these past six games.
It's like 113 offensive rating, which is good for like 2015, but not for 2026.
It's like 17th best offense in the last six games, which is a small sample, but it shows it's not elite anymore.
So I'm not saying the Nuggets should continue doing that even with Joker, but let's give a chance to Payton to start next to Joker, even when everybody is back.
And just to give us a sample of what we could get from an elite guy who is also a screen navigator.

Peyton is just an amazing defender that actually looks really, really good right now.
And I wanted to ask you this, CT, when it comes to the salary cap, we've heard that there's no way the Nuggets can hold on to Peyton Watson because he's going to get a big offer and the Nuggets will not go to the second apron to resign him.

I don't want them to save money.
I understand there are some restrictions there, but the restrictions are way smaller compared to losing a guy who can be your number three guy even next season, not to talk about three years from now.

and by the way this is not the same situation when they didn't resign kcp who was 32 at the time to go into the secondary we're talking about a 23 year old guy who already has four nba seasons under his belt and he's ready for an actual big jump next season i'm guessing so it is not you know apples and apples this is a completely different story here i think
