In this case, it was a role play product.
So users doing role plays of difficult conversations.
I gotta tell my my boss some bad news, you know, I'm really worried about this.
And we had so it's one focus coaching experience that the LLM was providing.
And we tested it, the exact same system, product, UX, everything was the same.
The only thing that was different was what we said at the very beginning.
We introduced it kind of like a mentor.
It was supportive, could be empathetic.
And in another frame, we introduced it as a machine, non-judgmental, access to lots of information, always on, like never gets tired because it's a machine.
The product experiences that the users did afterwards was exactly.
The same, like pixel matching, everything was exactly the same.
The outcomes were dramatically different.
So in the second group, the group where it was really framed as an AI, um, as a kind of non-human strength, users said they were more prepared for their difficult conversation afterwards.
But 2x, they were less worried.
They were in some cases even excited about it now.
And their kind of self-preparedness reports.
were two times higher than the other and their repeat engagement.
And
We looked at that and I was like, well, what what is making that big of a difference?
Like it wasn't a model improvement that we shipped.
