They should celebrate you when you wake up one morning and you say that thing that I've been carrying for so long, I'm just, I don't feel it anymore.
They should celebrate with you when you feel like you've moved through stuff, when you feel like you've become a better version of yourself.
They should celebrate with you when...
Life goes in a way that opens doors for you.
Many partners feel insecure about that.
If you are growing, they're not going to celebrate you.
They're going to feel threatened by that success because it might take you away from them or because you might actually
believe that you deserve so much more than whatever it is that they have to offer you and that you might walk away.
And that's all really a story they're telling themselves because your successes are not about that.
They're about you and your life.
So notice whether you are with somebody who celebrates you or somebody who, like you said, resists your growth or resists your change or resists these big, great things that are happening in your life, resists seeing them as great things.
I was going to say, Tom obviously accepted that and celebrated your growth because he does genuinely love you as a person.
So step outside of yourself.
And let's say your partner came to you and said what you just said.
I'm not I'm not able to do all these things that I used to do for you.
instead of immediately thinking, oh, that takes this away from me, or think if my niece or my nephew or that friend of mine that I really love made that decision for themselves, would I be happy for them?
If the answer is yes, then you should be happy for the person that you supposedly love so much.
But I think what often happens is, especially in transactional relationships,
It's like, oh, I'm not getting that from you anymore.
So because I used to equate your value with what I was getting from you, I no longer see that value.
