It's very difficult.
We have to do multifamily.
And I want to say, you know, we know we are last.
The whole South Florida happens to be last.
But
combined with the affordable housing are wages, and we also have the lowest wages.
So those things together really give us a mountain to climb.
But I want to assure you that from my point of view, I've spent my years on the county commission focused on affordable housing, and I expect to continue to do that until I am completed with my last term.
And I promise you that...
you know, that I personally and I feel that my commissioners join me in wanting to do as much as they possibly can within our power to continue to solve this problem and this crisis in our community.
I just wanted to add a couple of things, now that the conversation is.
I just want to go back to, again, single family.
There are other opportunities there.
We go over this over and over again, that we don't have land.
But people are doing unique things now.
When you look at Urban League, they are doing a large development and it's going to be both rental and home ownership.
There are going to be over 100 units there that will be home ownership.
That's something new.
We haven't had that.
We work with Habitat for Humanity.
