And so a trustee role is something that's kind of on the sideline.
Often their employers don't acknowledge it as part of your KPIs in terms of
your remuneration or other things that you may be doing as part of your job for the organization.
And so a trustee gig becomes a kind of sideline thing that you, you know, that somebody has kind of, you know, dropped off the board and, oh, you know, Nat, here it is.
And it requires an inordinate amount of time.
and investment.
And, you know, this is my own opinion.
I'm just not sure that the trustee who is also fulfilling other organizational or operational roles has enough time to commit to this process.
And that's my opinion.
I see you nodding.
I think this is where we are as an industry.
And I think there's definitely a further conversation to have around that.
I mean, now I feel like you're interviewing me.
The secret sauce.
And maybe it's about the courage to point out blind spots and the vulnerability to hear them and to grow and become mature.
Because I think what you're talking about is a very mature board.
You know, we understand the role of the sponsor and it is a commercial role.
Let's not kid ourselves.
It is a commercial role.
And of course, we'd all want that umbrella fund to be sustainable because that is in members' best interests.
