But for me, I was like, at the time, I've got six staff and I've got three vehicles and like I'm the man.

And I owe this plasterer 8,000 bucks and I owe this electrician this much.
And it was like talking to them and just being like, I don't have the money, but I'm going to get it to you sort of thing.
And
they held on and I managed to pay them back.
But through that time, just like I did kind of reset, like it was a big smash to the ego, massive smash to the ego.
It was like, fuck, you're not as cool as you think you are.
And so by the time that, yeah, I paid those guys back, it was back to just me and two apprentices just on the tools and way more simple doing labour-only work.
And, you know, I sort of, to this day, I just love building houses.
You know, like it is something that just gets my wheels spinning hard.
Like, again, like moments I remember driving, like I just probably got in the Clare or close to being in the Clare,
I was driving from Hamilton to Tokoro one day going, I was at the Tito roundabout, you know, the big old roundabout, turn off to Rotorua or Tokoro.
And a call came through, random number, driving my van.
And it was a guy called Marcus.
And he was like, hey, I've been calling around town in Hamilton around the merchants asking for someone who's young and keen.
We've got a business called Sentinel Homes.
We're looking at expanding throughout the country.
