And so I had a real disrespect for money even, you know.

And then, yeah, just got caught out badly with contracts like...

had some clients who didn't want to pay because they didn't have to.

And, you know, that made heaps of changes throughout the job.

I had no way of tracking variations.

It was just like a disaster, man, like a proper disaster.

And there were people that got caught in the crossfire with that.

Like I lost heaps of money.

I did work for a good 18 months to get out of that hole.

I made sure I paid all my subbies back, which I'm proud of.

Like I did handle that the right way.

yeah, I had like, I didn't know how to manage KiwiSaver.

So one of my apprentices wanted to be on a higher KiwiSaver, right?

I thought he was, but I hadn't done anything.

So he missed out on like an extra KiwiSaver contribution.

Like to this day, I'm like pissed off that I mismanaged that, you know, I carry a bit of embarrassment about that.

But yeah, it got to the point where, you know, we were doing good work.

Like we were executing on work and I was, you know, we were delivering quality product and all of that sort of stuff.

But just the business was just shit.
