And you know, unfortunately that is directly tied to

In part to the war.

And so, you know, I think

the president's approval ratings have never been lower and he doesn't have an easy way out of this and he's preparing for the possibility that this conflict continues on potentially, you know, the rest of his term.

And so I think it's almost certainly going to be a drag on the midterms elections for him and his party.

And there's no easy off ramp on this, so

It really is a shift in American politics in terms of just his popularity that's really different than th his first term or the last any time in the last two years.

Yeah, I mean that that does seem to be the case.

I think that's right.

We need to leave open the chance that after

the midterms happen that he will no longer have the economic and political constraints on him that have, you know, caused him to seek these off rants for the last few months.

So there is a chance that it he may try to escalate.

But if you look at those options, they're still pretty bad.

You know, they're not that much different than they were in March.

So I think if he could, you know, turn back time and do this all over again, he'd never would have messed around with this war to begin with.

But he can't.

So my guess is that no matter what, you know, no matter what happens in the elections, that he'll still probably want an offering.

The problem is is Iran might not want one.

And so they get a vote and how this ends.

Well, since a deal wasn't possible, he decided to shift tactics a little bit and go back to economic pressure with the idea that if he can't make a deal and Iran's not gonna capitulate, he can just kinda be in this low boil pressure indefinitely.
